JANG-SEOK : These are brass clip designs inspired by traditional Korean crafts “JANG-SEOK”. “JANG-SEOK” were used to make door locks and various decorations, including hinges to strengthen the assembly parts of wooden furniture. To bring back the tradition’s precious motives and meanings into our daily lives, we re-interpreted the most representative shapes of “JANG-SEOK”; the butterfly and the swallow’s tail.
Butterfly: Joy, Happiness, Beauty The butterfly means joy, happiness and beauty. The wings of the butterfly represent beauty, while a flying butterfly illustrates joy and happiness.
Swallow’s tail : Spring, good news and luck Swallow’s tail means the shape of a swallow’s tail. A swallow represents luck, and of good omen in Korea. They are known to bring good news and luck.
